The College of Natural Resources is seeking a full-time Lecturer in Environment & Society (9-month academic year).

Make an impact by teaching courses such as NRES 320: Natural Resources Communication & Public Relations and by mentoring the next generation of natural resource professionals.

Preferred and Required Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• Master’s degree or higher earned by the start of the position, with an applied emphasis on public communication in a relevant Natural Resources field, Education, Communication, Public Relations, Media Studies or another related field.
• Knowledge of appropriate social science methods to inform natural resource management decisions
• Knowledge of public relations and media engagement in natural resource settings

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience teaching in an undergraduate setting
• Experience with meeting facilitation techniques
• Experience implementing techniques for managing conflicts in a natural resource or local government setting
