Position Summary
The Department of Financial Planning, Housing and Consumer Economics at the University of Georgia invites applications for the position of Lecturer in Financial Planning. The faculty member will have a 95% Teaching and Practicum supervision and 5% Service, nine-month, full time appointment in the Department of Financial Planning, Housing, and Consumer Economics. Teach eight (8) courses per academic year at the graduate and undergraduate levels split between instruction delivered online and on-campus. Work with faculty to develop, grow, and sustain scholarly and applied curricula in financial planning. Create and maintain engaging, academically rigorous course content for online delivery. Recruit, advise, and mentor graduate students. Participate in departmental and college service, including meetings and committee work. Maintain active membership in relevant academic and professional organizations.

Minimum Qualifications
A doctoral degree in financial planning, finance, accounting, consumer economics, or other closely related disciplines. Demonstrated expertise in financial planning.
Preferred Qualifications
At least two years of experience teaching financial planning courses in an online environment. At least one degree in Family and Consumer Sciences. CFP® certification or willingness to obtain it within one-year of hire date. Documented record of mentoring students and contributing to program development.
