About the Role:
Flinders University is seeking an experienced and student-focused Lecturer in Geospatial Information Systems (Surveying) to contribute to excellence in teaching and learning across geospatial and surveying disciplines.
The Lecturer in Geospatial Information Systems (Surveying) will contribute across:
- Inspiring, student-centred teaching in geospatial information systems and surveying across multiple levels and delivery modes
- Topic coordination, curriculum design, review and continuous quality improvement
- Innovative use of learning technologies and contemporary teaching practices
- Academic advising, student support and initiatives that enhance graduate employability
This position is open to national and international candidates, and relocation and visa support may be available.
About You
You are a dedicated teaching specialist with a strong commitment to student success and educational innovation. You are collaborative, professionally engaged and passionate about delivering high-quality, industry-relevant education in geospatial information systems and surveying.
You will bring:
- A completed PhD or EdD (or equivalent qualification) in geospatial information systems, surveying or a closely related discipline
- Demonstrated excellence and experience in tertiary teaching, including curriculum design and topic coordination
- Evidence of innovative teaching practice, including effective use of e-learning technologies and student-centred approaches
- Tertiary qualifications in Education (Desirable).
