The University of West London is seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Multimedia and Virtual Reality to strengthen teaching, research, and professional practice in immersive technologies.
Location: Ealing
Salary: £64,312 to £53,020 per annum
Hours: Full Time
Contract Type: Permanent
The School of Computing and Engineering at the University of West London offers courses in computing, engineering, multimedia, and audio technologies. Multimedia and Virtual Reality are key areas supporting the University’s academic and research agenda.
The postholder will: Deliver engaging teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels in multimedia, VR/AR, and immersive media; Contribute to curriculum development in computing and creative technology courses; Develop a research portfolio with high-quality outputs and secure external funding; Build collaborations with industry, professional bodies, and research networks; Supervise student projects and support career development.
Applicants should hold a PhD in Multimedia, Virtual Reality, or a related field and have teaching experience in higher education. They should demonstrate a track record of publications in VR/AR, curriculum design, industry collaboration, and strong communication skills.
