Position Overview
The Politics Department at Princeton University seeks lecturers to teach or co-teach in areas such as:
- American Politics
- Comparative Politics
- Formal Theory / Quantitative Methods
- International Relations
- Political Theory
Appointments are based on curricular need and may involve either part-time or full-time teaching. Lecturers will lead discussion sections, attend lectures, hold office hours, meet with course instructors, and grade exams and papers.
Qualifications
- Required: Advanced degree in political science or a closely related field
- Preferred: Experience teaching at the university level and ability to work collaboratively in a team-based course environment
Responsibilities
- Lead discussion sections and co-teaching as assigned
- Attend lectures and meet regularly with course instructor(s)
- Hold on-campus office hours for student consultations
- Grade assignments, exams, and papers in a timely manner
- Participate in course planning and curriculum delivery as needed
