Offer Description

• Participates in formulation of the teaching plan and programme in his/her teaching area and, accordingly, conducts teaching and other forms of teaching activities in that group of courses that belong to (scientific) artistic discipline for which s/he has been appointed
• Conducts exams and other forms of evaluation of students' knowledge, according to the teaching plan and programme
• Improves the teaching process, recommends, develops, and conducts methods of monitoring and evaluating of the teaching activity
• Works, independently or in cooperation with other teachers and experts, on writing handbooks and textbooks and contributes to development of other teaching equipment and aids
• (guides and/or) participates in professional activities and publishes achieved results
• Actively participates in activities of domestic and international professional gatherings
• Encourages students to work independently and to be motivated for education and advancement
• Works on his/her own advancement by following the development of his/her own discipline and pedagogical theory and practice
• In terms of the 40 hour-long working week, performs other tasks determined by the study programme and implementation plan, the Law, the relevant collective contract, the Status of the Faculty, the Status of the University of Zagreb, the Ordinance of the Institute, and other tasks given to him/her by the chair of the department, the dean, vice-deans, and the chair of the Institute

Skills/Qualifications

All applicants for the appointment should meet the general requirements prescribed by the Law on Higher Education and Scientific Activity (Official Gazette no. 119/22), and special requirements prescribed by the Statute of the University of Zagreb, the Statute of the Catholic Faculty of Theology of the University of Zagreb.

All applicants for the appointment are also required to meet special requirements prescribed by the National University, Scientific, and Artistic Criteria (Official Gazette no. 42/26).

Specific Requirements

An application for the position has to be supplemented by the following documents:

• resume,
• baptismal certificate from the Catholic church
• copy of the proof of citizenship,
• proof of competency in Croatian language and in Latin alphabet of advanced level for those candidates who are not Croatian citizens,
• certified copy of the certificate which shows that a candidate holds a higher degree in kinesiology, as well as certified copy of the writ on recognition of the aforementioned certificate for those applicants who obtained their academic qualification abroad,
• statement on meeting the competition's, i.e. minimal legal requirements for the appointment,
• proofs of meeting the requirements of the National University, Scientific, and Artistic Criteria for evaluating of teaching and professional activity in the process of appointment into a scientific-teaching grade.
• statement on previous teaching, artistic and professional activities at an institution of higher education and outside of it,
• it is recommended that applicants submit a list of written and published papers.

Selection process

An application has to be supplemented by: all the necessary documents in electronic version on e-mail: personalna.sluzba@kbf.unizg.hr.

Applicants for the appointment also need to submit additionally articles for appointment in electronic form.

An application is considered full and completed if it contains all the information and supplements prescribed by the public competition. Incomplete and untimely applications will be discarded and will not be taken into consideration. Applicants need to submit their applications, supplemented by the proofs of meeting the necessary conditions prescribed by the competition, in the period of no more than 30 days from the day the competition has been announced in the Official Gazette. Applications need to be sent to the Faculty's address with the note “for competition”.

Applicants will be notified on the outcome of the competition in the legally proscribed period of time.

Additional comments

An application for the competition can be submitted by persons of both sexes, in accordance with the a. 13 of the Law on Equality of Sexes.

An applicant who meets the conditions for exercising the right od prioritisation of access to employment, according to special regulations, is obliged to invoke this right in the application and takes precedence over the other applicants only under the same and equal condiotions. In order to achieve the right of prioritisation of access to employment, an applicant who meets the conditions for exercising this right is obliged to additionally enclose all proofs of meeting the requierd conditions by submitting this application. The person referred to in a 102, p. 1 - 3 of the Law on Croatian Homeland War Veterans and their Family Members (Official Gazette no. 121/17) which, at the time of submitting the application, meets the condiotions for exercising the right of prioritisation of access to employment is obliged to enclose, along with the application for this public competition, all proofs of meeting the requirements from the competition and, depending on the category that refers to the right of priooritisation of access to employment, submit the proofs prescribed by the a. 102, p. 1 of the Law on Croatian Homeland War Veteran and their Familiy Members (Official Gazette no. 121/17).
