We seek applicants who are dedicated to serving The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley's student body as a Lecturer I of Writing and Language Studies beginning in the 2025-2026 academic year.

Department/College Background: The Department of Writing and Language Studies at The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) occasionally has the need to hire Lecturers to teach in its First Year Writing Program. Responsibilities include delivering quality instruction within an innovative and award-winning program that offers summer bridge courses and first year courses focused on reading, inquiry, writing, and rhetoric.
Minimum Qualifications: The qualifications to be considered as a Lecturer are a master's degree from an accredited institution in English or a related discipline with at least 18 graduate hours in Rhetoric & Composition, Writing Studies, Technical Communication, Linguistics, Creative Writing, Curriculum & Instruction, or Literature.
Discipline Specific Required Qualifications: Graduate coursework in Rhetoric & Composition Pedagogy.
