Job Description Summary

The Department of Marketing at Bentley University invites applications for a non-tenure track, full-time position at the rank of Lecturer, beginning Fall 2026. We seek a passionate educator with expertise in Professional Sales who is also able to teach related courses such as Sales Management, Effective Selling, Sales Strategy and Technologies, New Product Development, and other marketing courses.

This is a teaching-focused role with a 4–4 course load per academic year. While class sizes may vary, courses are generally capped at 35 students. In addition to teaching, the successful candidate will serve as Director of the Professional Sales Major/Minor and will play an active role in connecting students with industry partners. The position emphasizes building and maintaining strong relationships with the industry to enhance experiential learning opportunities such as project-based courses, client engagements, and real-world business cases.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree (or higher) in Marketing, Business Administration, or a closely related field (required).
  • Demonstrated excellence in teaching.
  • Professional experience in sales, sales management, or related marketing functions (preferred).
  • Evidence of the ability to engage with external stakeholders and create meaningful industry partnerships.
  • Commitment to supporting student success and experiential learning.

Pay Transparency:

The grade range is based on market data and the scope of responsibilities. Final pay will depend on your experience, education, and other relevant qualifications.

Salary Ranges (depending on rank, qualifications and experience):

  • Lecturer: $96,865 - $131,052 per year
