Description

Appointment: Lecturer of Collaborative Piano, beginning fall term, 2026, with an initial appointment of twelve months. Appointment renewable with review during the spring term. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Position is part-time at 50% FTE (full-time employment) and benefits eligible.

Responsibilities: Serve as collaborative pianist for graduate instrumental students on School of Music recitals and other School events such as lessons, master classes, and studio seminars; coach instrumental students during rehearsals on aspects of interpretation and collaboration. Collaborative duties average 20 hours per week during the academic year. Position is supervised by the Deputy Dean of the School; duties are assigned by the Collaborative Piano Coordinator.

Qualifications

Demonstrated experience as a collaborative pianist in an educational setting, preferably at the graduate level. Familiarity with a broad range of repertoire. Master’s degree in collaborative piano or piano performance required.
