As a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Small Animal Clinical Studies, you will have the opportunity to deliver innovative teaching and provide exceptional clinical service at the University of Melbourne's Melbourne Veterinary School. You will contribute to the education of future veterinarians, engage in leadership and service within the academic and broader community, and collaborate with partnering veterinary practices. This role offers a dynamic environment where you can enhance your teaching and clinical expertise while making a significant impact on veterinary education.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Deliver Innovative Teaching: Develop and conduct engaging tutorials, lectures, workshops, and clinical teaching for the DVM program.
  • Provide Exceptional Clinical Service: Offer high-quality veterinary care, supervise staff, and mentor students and interns.
  • Lead and Collaborate: Engage in leadership within the department, foster partnerships, and contribute to curriculum development.

You may be a great fit if:

You will be an experienced veterinarian with a passion for teaching and clinical excellence, possessing strong organisational skills and the ability to mentor students and collaborate with diverse teams.

You also have:

  • A Bachelor of Veterinary Sciences, Doctor of Veterinary Medicine or equivalent veterinary degree registrable in Victoria with at least two years relevant experience as a veterinarian.
  • Demonstrated tertiary level teaching experience with the ability to teach innovative programs for learning at all levels, and under a variety of settings including online learning and curriculum course design, as well as academic mentoring to students
  • Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills for diverse environments.
  • Be adept at managing clinical caseloads and providing mentorship to students and staff.
  • Have a commitment to continuous professional development and leadership in veterinary education.

Level B $124,656 - $148,023 per annum plus 17% super
Level C $152,695 - $176,065 per annum plus 17% super
