- Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Teacher Librarianship - Continuing, full time
- Course Director - Concurrent fixed term appointment (up to 3 years) - 0.4FTE
- Bathurst or Wagga Wagga
Salary
- Level B - $113,841 to $134,965 p.a. (plus 17% superannuation) or;
- Level C - $139,182 to $160,308 p.a. (plus 17% superannuation)
- Academic Institutional Allowance(s)
In this role, you will contribute to the delivery of high quality, student centred learning within the flagship Master of Education (Teacher Librarianship) program and related fields, with all subjects taught in an online environment. You will be actively involved in curriculum development, academic administration, and the continuous improvement of learning experiences, while building strong professional relationships with students. The position also requires you to maintain an active research or scholarship profile aligned with the strategic priorities of the School, and to engage in professional partnerships that strengthen teaching, workplace learning, and discipline growth.
For the first three years, the successful candidate will hold a dual appointment:
- Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Teacher Librarianship - approximately 60% workload
- Course Director - approximately 40% workload
The Lecturer / Senior Lecturer in Teacher Librarianship is a full time continuing role offering long term career stability. The position may be appointed with either a teaching focused or teaching and research workload.
In addition, the Course Director role may be offered concurrently on a fixed term basis for up to three years.
About you
You will bring strong academic capability in teacher librarianship, along with the following:
- A doctoral qualification in a relevant discipline
- Demonstrated strength in online learning and teaching
- Ability to teach across key areas of teacher librarianship and contribute to curriculum enhancement
- A developing research profile (Lecturer) or an established research profile with leadership capability (Senior Lecturer)
- Eligibility for membership with a relevant professional body such as Australian Library and Information Association
- Desirable experience in related curriculum areas or active involvement in the teacher librarianship profession
