Lecturer
- Full-time, ongoing position at Academic Level B.
- Parramatta South campus with flexible working arrangements.
- Salary: $120,908 – $142,769 per annum, plus 17% Super and Leave Loading.
The Opportunity
The School of Nursing and Midwifery is seeking a Lecturer who will contribute to high-quality teaching, curriculum design and student learning across the discipline. In this role, you will coordinate, deliver and evaluate teaching units that prepare students for meaningful careers in contemporary nursing practice.
You will collaborate with academic colleagues across the School, Faculty and wider University to deliver teaching that is informed by current research. The role supports the development of undergraduate and postgraduate students, including engaging students in research pathways and contributing to a vibrant learning community.
Beyond teaching, you will engage in scholarly activity, produce high-quality publications and contribute to research supervision. You will build partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, helping strengthen the school’s academic networks and research capacity.
What Success Looks Like:
- Coordinating, designing and delivering teaching units including assessment and feedback.
- Providing high-quality teaching informed by research, supporting students’ transition to postgraduate study.
- Contributing to research through publications, grants and research student supervision.
- Building effective collaborations across the School, Faculty, University and external partners.

About You
- A doctoral qualification in Nursing (or progression toward completion) and eligibility for registration as a nurse in Australia.
- Demonstrated excellence in teaching in tertiary settings, supported by strong student or peer feedback.
- Experience developing academic and industry networks that support teaching, research and engagement.
- A growing record of research outputs and capability to contribute to scholarship of teaching and learning.
- A valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) or the ability to obtain one prior to commencement Experience supervising Honours or Higher Degree Research students.
