"Lecturer Pool - Geography - College of Letters & Sciences"

The Department of Geography at the University of California, Berkeley invites applications for a pool of qualified temporary instructors to teach a range of courses in both human geography and physical geography.

General Duties: In addition to teaching responsibilities, general duties may include holding office hours, assigning grades, advising students, preparing course materials (e.g., syllabus), writing exams, and managing GSIs.

Qualifications:

• Basic qualifications: Completion of at least a Master's degree (or equivalent international degree) by time of application.
• Additional qualifications: For those who are not US citizens or permanent residents, a legal permit that allows work in the United States (such as a US Visa that allows employment) is required by the start date of the position.
• Preferred qualifications: A PhD (or equivalent international degree) and prior teaching experience.
