Lecturer

The Department of Molecular Biology at Princeton University has an occasional curricular need for lecturers to teach, co-teach, or lead precepts in areas such as molecular biology, cell biology, neurobiology, biochemistry, and neuroscience. Any appointments and duty time are subject to enrollments and may be for one or two semesters during the 2025-2026 academic year. Positions would have an expected start date of September 1, 2025, or January 16, 2026. Individuals should possess a Ph.D. in molecular biology or a related field and have experience with teaching at the undergraduate level. Successful candidates will attend weekly lectures, be present during lab, lead weekly discussions, hold regular office hours, meet with the course instructor(s), and assist in exam writing and grading as it applies to the course being taught. Princeton University is especially interested in qualified candidates who can contribute, through their research, teaching, and/or service, to the diversity and excellence of our academic community. In your cover letter you must indicate your expertise and/or area of interest, e.g., genomics, proteomics, cancer biology, developmental biology, neurobiology, and microbiology. This position is subject to the University's background check policy. The work location for this position is in-person on campus at Princeton University. Essential Qualifications: Ph.D. in Molecular Biology or a related field is required. Preferred Qualifications: Experience teaching at the undergraduate level is strongly preferred. Expected Salary Range: $81,700-$86,000. The University considers factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's qualifications, work experience, education/training, key skills, market, and organizational considerations when extending an offer. The posted salary range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate for a full-time position; salaries for part-time positions are pro-rated accordingly.
