About the Role:
The Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Plant Ecology will deliver high-quality, student-focused teaching and conduct impactful research in plant ecology in alignment with and complimentary to existing strengths within the College. You will contribute to the College’s strengths through curriculum development, innovative teaching, supervision of honours and higher degree students, and engagement with industry and community partners.
In this position, you will also:
- Deliver engaging undergraduate and postgraduate teaching across plant ecology and natural sciences.
- Conduct high-quality research, publications, and attract competitive external funding.
- Build collaborations with industry, community, and academic partners to enhance research and learning outcomes.
This position is open to international candidates and relocation and visa support is available.
About You:
With a PhD in Plant Ecology, you will have a track record of excellence in both teaching and research in plant ecology. You are collaborative, innovative, and committed to inspiring students while contributing to a collegial academic culture.
Candidates will be determined to be suitable for Level B or Level C positions depending on their relevant experience. In this position, you will also demonstrate:
- Proven excellence in teaching, curriculum design, and topic/course coordination in plant ecology.
- Strong research track record with publications, grant success, and supervision experience.
- Established or emerging experience providing leadership in the area of curriculum reviews and internal and external accreditation activities.
