About The Team
The Deputy Vice Chancellor Education portfolio leads Murdoch University’s commitment to delivering contemporary, accessible and inclusive education that supports every student to succeed and graduate ready for their future careers.
Within this portfolio, the University Preparation Pathways (UPP) team broadens access to higher education by creating and delivering inclusive, accessible units and courses that enable success for diverse student cohorts, including students who do not meet ATAR entry requirements.
The team continually enhances its pathway offerings, embeds wellbeing and academic skill development, and maintains a collaborative, student‑centred approach to ensure equitable access and strong transitions into undergraduate study.
Your New Role!
We are seeking enthusiastic academics to join the University Preparation Pathways (UPP) team as Lecturers and Senior Lecturers, ideally with a strong science background. These roles support teaching across our three campuses — Rockingham, Mandurah and South Street (Perth) — and play a key part in widening access to higher education.
The Lecturer will be primarily based at Rockingham, with regular teaching and engagement across all campuses. This is a fantastic opportunity to work closely with local learners, contribute to the community, and bring UPP’s enabling programs to life across multiple sites.
The Senior Lecturer will be primarily based at South Street, while also contributing teaching and leadership across Rockingham and Mandurah. A key focus for the role is strengthening our science‑based preparation programs, including expanding laboratory learning opportunities. The Senior Lecturer will take a lead role in shaping and delivering this work — with full ownership to innovate, design and implement high‑quality, science‑rich learning experiences for our pathway students.
Across both positions, you will contribute to high‑quality teaching, curriculum development and scholarly activity in enabling education. You will work collaboratively with a supportive team to deliver inclusive, engaging learning environments and help diverse students build confidence and transition successfully into undergraduate study.
Please refer to the Lecturer Position Description and the Senior Lecturer Position Description for further details.
What We Offer You!
Continuous Full Time (37.5 hours per week) positions attract the following remuneration:
- Lecturer | $113,000 - $134,000 plus 17% employer superannuation contributions.
- Senior Lecturer | $138,000 - $159,000 plus 17% employer superannuation contributions.
You’ll join a dynamic and talented team where diversity and innovation thrive.
