Level B: $122,478 - $141,446 + 17% Superannuation Position is based at the UOW Wollongong Campus, noting that travel to the Liverpool Campus will also be required to support teaching delivery

About the School

Located in the Faculty of Engineering and Information Sciences, the School of Computing and Information Technology (SCIT) teaches the latest technologies and industry practices to develop job & world ready graduates. With various program offerings, at both the undergraduate and postgraduate level, in Computer Science and Information Technology, the School has a strong focus on collaboration, encouraging multidisciplinary research across the University. Our teaching reflects the latest IT and computer science technologies and trends, preparing students to thrive in a fast-changing industry.

About the Role

The School is seeking an enthusiastic academic to support teaching and research within the School. The successful candidate will possess teaching and research expertise in one or more of the following domains: Artificial Intelligence, Big Data Analytics, Cybersecurity, Applied Computing and/or Information Technology. SCIT aims to maintain its position as a world-class research school and this position is expected to contribute to that objective.

The School has a strong commitment to its students. The advertised position will undertake teaching and coordination of various subjects within the School, particularly first year subjects, and to contribute to research in their relevant field of expertise. In addition to teaching proficiencies, the School is also looking for research capabilities and experience in one or more of the listed fields, with active research profiles in emerging areas.
