Position Summary
The Department of Chemistry at the University of Georgia is seeking applications for multiple, full-time, non-tenure track, Lecturer positions to begin August 1, 2026. These positions will primarily focus on general and/or organic chemistry instruction, although Lecturer-track faculty in our department teach throughout our undergraduate degree programs. Lecturers are fully integrated into the life of the department and are expected to engage in relevant service activities within the department, college, and university. These positions are renewable 9-month appointments with the ability to work toward promotion to Senior Lecturer and subsequently Principal Lecturer.

Minimum Qualifications
An earned doctorate degree in Chemistry or related field is required at the time of appointment.
Relevant/Preferred Education, Experience, Licensure, and/or Certification
Competitive applicants will, (1) demonstrate the ability to teach in both large and small classes utilizing active learning pedagogy; (2) demonstrate the ability to utilize technology in teaching and/or implementing online courses; (3) demonstrate a willingness and ability to work within a team environment on curriculum modernization efforts. Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills are essential.
