HERE'S WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THIS ROLE:

1. You'll be joining the Schiffert Health Center team; a department centered on the health and wellbeing of our student population by caring for them in their times of illness or injuries.
2. You'll be reporting to the Nurse Supervisor, in a regular twelve-month, 100% university staff appointment.
3. You'll be responsible for triage, assisting providers, and patient education. You will cross train and work in the following areas: Gynecology, Allergy/Immunization Clinic and Medical Clinic.
4. You'll typically work Monday - Friday 8am-5pm and rotating Saturdays 9am-12pm.
5. You'll be offered a base compensation package between $53,000 - $56,000, along with a comprehensive benefits package which includes health insurance, paid leave, retirement, tuition assistance, VT discounts, and so much more!

Required Qualifications

• Licensed to practice nursing as an LPN in the State of Virginia
• Previous experience practicing as a LPN in a medical setting.
• Demonstrated experience with patient assessment/triage
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills with the ability to establish and maintain successful and effective relationships with diverse, multicultural student and staff population while demonstrating empathy to patients.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in an outpatient clinical setting
• Previous experience working in a higher education medical/clinical environment
• Computer experience including electronic medical records.
• Previous experience working in a women's clinic, allergy/immunization clinic and/or medical clinic.

Pay Band 3

Overtime Status Non-Exempt: Eligible for overtime

Salary Information $53,000 - $56,000

Work Schedule Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm with rotating Saturdays from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
