Lighting Design Lecturer Search
The Department of Drama at the University of California, Irvine is seeking qualified applicants for a part-time lecturer position in Lighting Design for Winter Quarter 2026. The role involves teaching a graduate-level class in Lighting Console Programming, specifically on the GrandMA Console. This is a 10-week course meeting 1 to 2 times a week in-person.
Requirements: An MFA or commensurate experience in the entertainment industry is required, along with at least 3 years of experience as a lighting designer/programmer. Candidates must have broad knowledge of industry standards and practices, a strong commitment to teaching, and the ability to work effectively with a diverse student population.
Salary Range: A reasonable estimate is $70,977 to $73,107. See the Unit 18 Lecturer table for details.
