Limited Term Faculty - Anthropology
Job Summary
The department of Government and Sociology at Georgia College and State University invites applications for a limited term lecturer position in Anthropology to begin August 2026. This 10 month position will teach courses in Anthropology at the undergraduate level. Successful candidates are expected to engage students in research and/or creative activities.
Responsibilities
Faculty - Teaching/Instructing - 98
Teaching Responsibilities
Teach courses in the discipline and contribute to the core curriculum as defined in the position description
Mentor students
Other duties as assigned - 2.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
Applicants must have 18 graduate credit hours in a closely related discipline and meet SACSCOC accreditation requirements stated in C.S. 3.7.1 (www.sacscoc.org (faculty credentials))
Preferred Qualifications
Additional Preferred Qualifications
Experience Teaching Anthropology courses at the College level
Ability to teach multiple sections of Introduction to Anthropology each semester
Ability to offer additional upper-level Anthropology electives in the Anthropology minor
Proposed Salary
$55,000.00 / Annual
