Position Description
The Department of Fine Arts of Perimeter College invites applications for a Limited Term Instructor in Film & Media Studies for Spring 2025. This is a teaching-focused position:100% of the workload is instruction teaching six (6) courses in FILM HISTORY AND THEORY per semester for the department on any of our five campuses and online. Perimeter College faculty maintain a campus presence, and the successful applicant will demonstrate a strong commitment to early undergraduate teaching and learning and the ability to thrive in a highly diverse academic setting. The primary responsibilities of this position will include designing and delivering engaging and innovative curriculum in film history and theory, although knowledge of basic film production processes is also expected.

Masters degree in Film & Media studies by August 1, 2026.
Preferred Qualifications/Experience
MFA or Phd in Film and Media Studies
College teaching experience, including graduate teaching
Experience teaching online courses in Film & Media
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to teach Film History and Theory at the collegiate level.
- Ability to teach effectively using a variety of methods, relate to students and facilitate student learning.
- Effective communication skills needed.
- Excellent organizational and teaching skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge of instructional technology is required.
