LUMC Junior Principal Investigator Fellowship
The LUMC Junior Principal Investigator Program awards five personal grants of €850,000 for four years to support the career development of starting group leaders, aiming for growth to associate professor level.
Job Summary: This program provides funding to kick-start research careers for junior researchers worldwide, with applications due by the preproposal deadline.
Responsibilities: Lead research initiatives, supervise and mentor teams, attract funding, and contribute to the LUMC research strategy in fundamental, translational, or clinical areas.
Qualifications and Requirements: Candidates must be among the top-10% of peers based on research output, funding potential, supervision experience, and academic citizenship. Applicants should have obtained their PhD between three and ten years before the deadline, with possible extensions for parental leave, medical training, or other reasons.
