The Luminary Fellow for Accounting Co-op and MSA oversees the accounting co-op experience and supports the evolution of the graduate accounting program toward an advisory- and consulting-focused model. This role serves as a bridge between students, employers, and the school, ensuring a high-quality, career-aligned experience.
Key Responsibilities
Co-op Program Leadership
- Oversee all aspects of the accounting co-op program, including:
○ placement coordination
○ employer engagement
- Maintain relationships with accounting firms and industry partners
- Ensure alignment between co-op experiences and student learning goals
- Provide guidance on:
○ interview preparation
○ professional readiness
- Mentor students throughout the co-op process and during placements
- Serve as primary liaison with accounting firms and partner organizations
- Coordinate communication and feedback between students and employers
- Identify and develop new co-op opportunities
- Teach and manage the accounting co-op course
- Integrate structured reflection and learning into the co-op experience
- Evaluate student performance and provide feedback
- Advise on the evolution of the graduate accounting program toward:
○ consulting
○ decision-support skills
- Provide practitioner insight into curriculum design and program positioning
- Significant professional experience in accounting, audit, advisory, or consulting
