Overview

Auburn University at Montgomery is accepting applications for a Maintenance Technician. This position will perform technical work in one or more trades related to plumbing, electrical, painting, carpentry, HVAC tasks in maintenance and repair for campus facilities. Under close supervision, provides skills and expertise in one trade or experience in multiple trades regarding a wide array of building systems and their associated components to accomplish maintenance, repair, and installation tasks.

Responsibilities

The candidate selected for this position will be responsible for the following:

• Perform work with repairing and maintaining systems, equipment, and fixtures on campus ensuring all work is performed timely and correctly to provide safe and comfortable spaces on campus.
• Performs trade repairs and installs in campus buildings and may be required to serve on an on-call status for emergencies.
• Performs corrective and preventative maintenance on facility systems.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• Valid Driver's License
• High School Diploma or GED.
• 3 years of experience in general maintenance or specialized experience in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting or HVAC.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Licensed in a trade related to facility maintenance and repair.
