Job Description Summary:
Provides leadership and management for campus-based ACCelerated Learning Support services, managing daily operations, facilities, administrative functions, and coordinating academic support services.
Job Description:
Supervision Received and Exercised
The Manager position receives general direction from higher-level administrative staff and exercises considerable independent judgment in managing departmental operations. The Manager is responsible for directing, supervising, and evaluating the performance of subordinate staff, ensuring alignment with the college's mission and goals. This role involves setting performance standards, providing coaching and development opportunities, and fostering a collaborative team environment.
Reports to the Regional Director, Accelerated Learning Support. Exercises supervision over assigned staff; hires, trains, coaches, evaluates, and disciplines personnel.
Competency Expectations
- Provide direction, supervision, and mentorship to staff; foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment; ensure compliance with institutional HR policies and employment regulations; and support professional development and performance management.
- May oversee unit-level budgeting and purchasing activities; ensure responsible fiscal management aligned with institutional priorities and public accountability standards.
- Lead the development and use of reporting tools and data systems to support strategic planning, institutional effectiveness, and compliance; interpret data to inform policy, operations, and service delivery.
- Manage departmental programs and services to ensure alignment with institutional goals, timelines, and applicable regulations; coordinate with unit leadership to address operational needs and service enhancements.
- Plan and allocate staff and operational resources to support unit goals, maintain service continuity, and respond to emerging institutional needs.
Description of Duties and Tasks
- Supervises, hires, trains, coaches, evaluates, and disciplines personnel.
- Coordinates ACCelerated Learning Support services and activities.
- Designs best‑practice-based tutorial services and programs.
- Assists with optimizing physical spaces.
- Develops and monitors departmental budget.
- Gathers, analyzes, and reports data.
- Serves as liaison to instructional departments.
- Promotes services to stakeholders.
- Resolves patron issues and escalates when appropriate.
- Collaborates with SAS and Student Services.
Job Requirements
Knowledge:

Minimum Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor's degree or higher.
- Four (4) years of related work experience OR Associate's Degree plus two (2) years of related work experience can be substituted for the required education (plus the required experience noted below).
Experience:
- Three (3) years related experience, including one (1) year supervisory.
Supplemental Experience:
- ACC Supervisor Certificate may substitute supervisory requirement.

Salary Range:
$63,475 - $79,343
