About The Role
The Faculty of Life Sciences & Medicine is seeking a highly motivated and experienced manager to lead the professional services operations of the School of Cardiovascular and Metabolic Medicine & Sciences. Reporting to the Faculty’s Director of Operations and the Head of School, you will work with the School’s Executive team to develop and implement the academic strategy. As a key member of the leadership team, you will deliver operations for a research and education portfolio, provide outstanding operational support, lead the professional services team, and collaborate with King’s central directorates. You will represent the School at meetings and contribute to university-wide projects. Operations include technical/laboratory support, HR, finance, education, research grant management, and knowledge transfer.
About You
Essential criteria include: a minimum level 6 qualification or equivalent experience; extensive operational and strategic management experience in higher education; ability to manage teams and resources; experience in facilitative management; commitment to the School’s work; knowledge of regulations and compliance; commitment to professional development; excellent numerical and analytical skills; and effective communication skills. Desirable criteria include: a postgraduate or professional qualification; project management expertise; experience in complex organizations with clinical research; and experience in strategy development and implementation.
