University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC) seeks adjunct faculty to teach on-site in Naples, Italy for the Master of Business Administration (MBA) program.

UMGC's MBA curriculum includes the following concentration areas:

  • Cybersecurity Management and Policy
  • Cybersecurity Technology
  • Data Analytics
  • Human Resource Management
  • Finance
  • Global Business
  • Marketing
  • Nonprofit Management
  • Project Management
  • General Management

Required Education and Experience

  • Master's degree in Business Administration or a related field aligned with one or more of the concentration areas listed above from an accredited institution of higher learning.
  • Professional experience in one or more of the listed concentration areas.
  • Experience teaching adult learners in online and/or higher education environments strongly preferred.
  • Applicants must reside locally. Adjunct faculty positions are not eligible for UMGC-sponsored logistical support. Candidates must have and maintain legal authorization to work in the country where they are applying to teach.

  • If selected, candidates with international degrees may be required to submit a translation/degree evaluation from a NACES approved vendor.

The Adjunct Faculty Role at UMGC

Your role as an adjunct faculty member will be to:

  • Actively engage students through frequent interaction that motivates them to succeed, and conveys a genuine energy and enthusiasm for their learning.
  • Guide students in active collaboration and the application of their learning in problem- and project-based learning demonstrations.
  • Provide rich and regular constructive feedback, utilizing rubrics effectively for the assessment of student work, and acknowledging student accomplishments.
  • Demonstrate relevant and current subject-matter expertise, and help students connect concepts across their academic program.
  • Provide feedback to your program chair on possible curricular improvements.

Position Available and will Remain Open until Filled

Salary Commensurate with Experience

Hiring Range by Degree:

Non-PhD: Step 1 $903 - Step 16 $1,173 per credit hour

PhD: Step 1 $931 - Step 16 $1,215 per credit hour
