Offer Description
- Conducting scientific research in the discipline of Legal Sciences under the academic guidance;
- Conducting classes in the Law and Administration degree programmes;
- Publishing research, particularly preparing scientific articles for peer-reviewed journals;
- Dissemination of research results (participation in scientific conferences, science popularization activities);
- Preparing grant applications;
- Cooperation with the socio-economic environment;
- Participation in meetings with local and international project partners;
- Implementation of administrative tasks in accordance with the scientific and teaching activities of Criminology and Suicidal Laboratory;

Skills/Qualifications
- Master's degree in Law;
- Research experience or interests in the field of Legal Sciences, particularly in logic, criminology, criminalistics, and victimology;
- Completed training courses, professional courses, or workshops related to the research and teaching profile of the Laboratory of Criminology and Suicidology.
- Proficiency in English (spoken and written) at a minimum B2 level;
- Proficiency in Polish (for foreigners) – fluent spoken and written;
- Teaching experience;
- Experience in conducting research projects;
- Teaching experience in delivering courses in the Law or Administration degree programmes;
- Work underway on a doctoral dissertation;
- Experience in teamwork and collaborative projects;
- Experience in science outreach and public engagement activities in the fields of logic, law, and criminology.
Specific Requirements
- Current research output in the fields of law with regard to logic and criminology;
- Knowledge of a second foreign language, both spoken and written;
- Documented active participation in national and international scientific conferences, particularly in the field of legal logic.

Additional comments
A necessary condition for employing a candidate selected in an open recruitment process is their meeting the requirements determined in Art.113 of the Law of 20 July, 2018 on Higher Education and Science (Journal of Laws 2024, item 1571as amended), and the obligation resulting from Art.265 paragraphs 5 and 13 of the Law.
If applying for employment at the University of Rzeszów as the primary place of employment, candidates who are employed at any other university as the primary place of employment, shall comply with the condition defined in art.120 of the Law of 20 July, 2018 on Higher Education and Science (Journal of Laws 2024, item 1571 as amended) according to which an academic teacher may hold only one position at a time referenced to as the primary place of employment.
In the case of candidates coming from abroad, whose diplomas of awarding professional tittle/academic degree/ scientific title require by Polish law an official recognition, they will not be employed until the recognition procedures have been finalized.
Until its deadline, the recruitment process may be ceased or annulled by the Rector without giving any justification. The decision to employ a candidate is made by the Rector. In justified cases, the Rector has the right not to employ the candidate selected in the recruitment process. The University of Rzeszów applies an internal reporting procedure pursuant to Article 24 of the Act of 14 June 2024 on the protection of whistleblowers (Journal of Laws 2024, item 928).
Recruitment results do not constitute grounds to raising any claims by the candidates against the UR, employment complaints, in particular.
