Summary of Position
The mathematics department at RRCC is seeking a part-time Instructor for a daytime on-campus class in the Fall 2025 semester. Courses filled by this position may include the following: College Algebra, Introduction to Statistics, and Math for Liberal Arts. The position includes both the design of learning activities as well as their facilitation with learners.
The instructor must be patient and respectful, while also providing their expectations for what is considered acceptable work. The instructor must display dedication to the class as well as the goals of the program.
This posting will be used to fill multiple part-time Instructor vacancies. Finalists must be willing to make Colorado their primary workplace.
This position reports to the department chair. The work schedule for this position is either Mondays/Wednesdays or Tuesdays/Thursday, 8:00AM to 1:15PM, at the Lakewood campus location. May require hours outside of normal work schedule.
This position may work up to 28 hours per week, depending on budget and need.

Qualifications
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Demonstrated content expertise in the field of Mathematics.
- Demonstrated written and oral communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability and willingness to teach students using traditional and alternative methods of instruction.
- Demonstrated ability to integrate technology into the classroom.
- Demonstrated ability and willingness to teach students using traditional and alternative methods of instruction.
- Demonstrated ability to integrate technology into the classroom where appropriate.
- Knowledge of computer applications. Interpersonal, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Knowledge of instructional objectives and course development techniques.
- Skills with managing, preparing, and delivering courses in the classroom and in the field.
- Ability to give and receive oral and written instructions and procedures.
- Have some knowledge working with D2L or a similar LMS
Required Qualifications
A master's degree from a fully accredited institution in Mathematics or a closely related field and at least 18 graduate hours in Mathematics.
Preferred Qualifications
30 credit hours of Mathematics teaching experience in higher education.
Physical & Cognitive Demands
The following are some of the physical and cognitive demands commonly associated with this position.
- Occasionally moves, positions, and transports files and office materials weighing up to 10 lbs.
- This is largely a sedentary role. This position operates in an office environment and constantly uses a computer, and routinely uses standard office equipment including phones, copiers, etc.
- The person in this position constantly communicates with internal and external constituents and students. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
- Cognitive demands include comparing, copying, computing, compiling, analyzing, coordinating, synthesizing, negotiating, communicating, instructing, and interpersonal skills.

Advertised Pay
The hourly pay for this position is $1,149.00-$1,263.00 per credit hour, commensurate with education and experience. This is a part-time, FLSA exempt position and may work up to 28 hours per week, depending on budget and need. This position has been exempted from the State Classified System.
