In general, the Planner/Scheduler is responsible for overseeing and enhancing the University’s preventive maintenance program. This position performs administrative and technical work in planning, coordinating, and scheduling maintenance activities across campus facilities and operations. This position is specifically responsible for creating the look-ahead schedule for the trades/crews assigned.

The Planner/Scheduler for the Mechanical (HVAC), Electrical, Plumbing, and Steam trades for all of the UNCG campus. These trades have responsibility for utility systems that affect larger portions of the entire campus. Because of this, these positions must have technical competence in one or more of the MEP trades to be able to adequately plan the work for these trades. In addition, they must have strong knowledge of how utility systems are interconnected and what is required to safely work on them without having unintended consequences.

This position is mandatory as defined in the Adverse Weather and Emergency Event Policy.

Minimum Qualifications:

ASSOCIATE’S DEGREE IN THE ASSIGNED DISCIPLINE; OR EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE. SOME POSITIONS MAY REQUIRE CERTIFICATION. ALL DEGREES MUST BE RECEIVED FROM APPROPRIATELY ACCREDITED INSTITUTIONS.
