Under supervision of the ACC5 Manager, guided by policies and procedures of the Ambulatory Services, and in collaboration with the Clinical Nursing Staff, the Medical Assistants assist in the delivery of care to patients in Heart & Vascular Center ambulatory group practices. Work includes performing and assisting with a variety of clinical procedures, reconciling patient's medications and communicating health care maintenance reminders to assure positive care outcomes. S/he will perform assigned patient care and laboratory procedures in support of the primary or specialty care services provided to patients within the practices. S/he is required to learn and be able to assist in all of the Heart & Vascular Services including Cardiology, Vascular Surgery, CT surgery, Pre Heart & Lung Transplant and Mechanical Support Services. S/he is required to adhere to the Living Pride Standards and Telephone and House Standards as adopted by the Medical Center.
The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.
Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.
The salary range for this position is $32.86 - $41.01 (Hourly Rate).
