Position Summary
A Parents as Teachers National Center (PATNC) certified parent educator provides the information, support, and encouragement that the parents need to help their child develop optimally during the crucial early years of life. This is done by providing education in the form of personal visits, group meetings, screenings, and linkages to a network of resources for parents and children. This position will also plan future program implementations based on feedback and program evaluations.

Duties/Responsibilities
- Responsible for serving the number of families determined by program guidelines by independently planning, coordinating, and delivering face-to-face educational visits and group educational meetings.
- Deliver Parents as Teachers National Center (PATNC) certified parent education to support parents and their families
Percentage of time: 50
- Complete all required documentation regarding home visits, attendance records for group meetings and other Parents as Teachers events, screening summaries, and all essential records required by the program, in timely and comprehensive manner.
Percentage of time: 15
- Support families in seeking appropriate resources based on the results of screenings when needed.
Percentage of time: 15
- Actively participate in regular, relationship-based supervision with the Parents as Teachers supervisor. Demonstrate an appropriate level of knowledge about what promotes optimal parent-child interaction and infant, toddler and child development.

- Responsible for reviewing and analyzing results of evaluations
Percentage of time: 10
