The Organization

Houston Community College (HCC) is composed of 14 Centers of Excellence and numerous satellite centers that serve the diverse communities in the Greater Houston area by preparing individuals to live and work in an increasingly international and technological society. HCC is one of the countrys largest singly-accredited, open-admission, community colleges offering associate degrees, certificates, workforce training, and lifelong learning opportunities.

EDUCATION

Masters degree with a minimum of 18 graduate hours in Music required (Photocopy of transcript showing masters degree conferred and 18 graduate hours in Music must accompany application).

PHD, DMA or Masters degree in Music is strongly preferred.

Demonstrated outstanding professional competency and experience may be considered in lieu of the educational requirement.

EXPERIENCE

Minimum of one (1) year of college level teaching experience or three (3) to ten (10) years of related work experience required.
