Background

My Home Life England (MHLE) is an evidence-based initiative that supports quality of life in social care. For nearly 20 years, we have worked alongside care services to support and develop the social care sector. We are a small team that has a big impact.

The Programme Administrator supports the successful delivery of local training and consultancy projects that take place across England alongside other research and development projects that the team is engaged with. Your key responsibilities will include providing logistical and budgetary support, liaising with purchasing, contracts and financial teams within the University and with our external customers. The role also provides support to our Communications Officer in ensuring we are meeting our marketing and communications plans and other routine administrative support.

Responsibilities

To provide administrative support for the successful planning and delivery of local development projects that support quality of life in care homes across England, maintaining clear lines of communication with internal University departments, participants and commissioners of our programmes; inputting information onto internal systems, registering suppliers, arranging purchase orders; organising meetings, recording budgetary data, arranging formatting, printing materials and writing up of notes and other general administrative tasks.

Additionally, the role will involve supporting us gather stories from social care practice and assisting with our marketing and communications activities.

Person Specification

The successful candidate will be educated to at least A level or equivalent. They will have experience in an office environment, in liaising with internal and external stakeholders, managing e-systems that support project delivery, and demonstrate excellent customer care.

As well as excellent numeracy and writing skills, they will demonstrate high level listening and analytical skills and attention to detail.

Working collaboratively with others to analyse problems and identify potential solutions is crucial.
