Job Duties
The faculty member will be responsible for:
- Teaching a range of Economics and data-focused courses, with the ability to support other business disciplines as needed.
- Conducting scholarly research in Economics with an emphasis on macroeconomics, applied econometrics, machine learning, or artificial intelligence.
- Providing service at the departmental, school, university, and community levels.
- Supporting the school’s commitment to maintain AACSB International accreditation.
Minimum Qualifications
Doctorate in economics degree prior to hire.
Additional Considerations
- Industry, policy, or applied research experience related to macroeconomics, econometrics, machine learning, or artificial intelligence is a plus.
- Experience applying data-driven methods or AI/ML techniques to real-world economic or business problems is highly desirable.
- Applicants who received their Ph.D. five years ago or earlier should have at least two refereed journal articles and three other intellectual contributions in the most recent five years.
- Excellent written and oral communications skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, personal integrity, and a commitment to diversity.
