Nurse Service Supervisor II - Transfer Center - FT Night Shift
Position Summary: Under the direction of the Nurse Manager of Clinical Care Operations, the Assistant Nurse Manager plays a pivotal role in supporting the Manager in the planning, coordinating, and supervising of the Clinical Care Operations of the medical center. The Assistant Nurse Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations for the Transfer Center while ensuring effective patient flow with patient transfers throughout the facility. The Assistant Manager supervises clinical and non-clinical staff, ensures protocol adherence, and efficiently utilizes resources while collaborating closely with the Nurse Manager to drive excellence in patient outcomes and staff performance. This role is responsible for leadership and management functions related to supporting and coordinating the delivery of patient care with a focus on medical center staffing, interfacility patient transfers, and optimizing the flow of patients throughout the facility and to the appropriate external care settings.

Required Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of hospital operations, patient flow, and clinical processes.
- Strong analytical skills to analyze data, review trends and activities, and make recommendations for improvement.
- Prior management experience in an acute care setting.
- Must demonstrate excellent customer service skills.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards, such as EMTALA and HIPAA.
- Knowledge of Title 22 and Joint Commissions requirements.
- Familiarity with transfer center software and technology systems.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System.
- Ability to be successful in a self-directed, self-motivated, fast-paced environment with changing deadlines and priorities.
- A minimum of two years of experience in a healthcare leadership role, preferably overseeing a transfer center or patient flow process.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience managing a Transfer Center or Capacity Command Center.
- Experience as a nurse case manager.
Licenses and Certifications:
- Registered Nurse.
- Basic Life Support.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support.
Education:
- Bachelor of Science, Nursing.
- Master of Science in Nursing.
