"RN - IR - Fountain Valley - Per Diem Rotate"

The Interventional Radiology (IR) Nurse provides direct patient care, in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act, to assigned patients in the IR. The registered nurse is a supportive, compassionate, efficient, detail-oriented team player with excellent interpersonal skills and who collaboratively maintains plan of care for vulnerable patients.

Required Qualifications:

• Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
• Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
• All External Candidates must have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
• Knowledge and education necessary to obtain RN license in the state of California and current California RN license.
• Current American Heart Association BLS, ACLS and PALS certification.
• Minimum Experience: At least one year of interventional radiology nursing experience with experience in scrubbing procedures, conscious sedation, injection procedures and teaching preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
• Works as a team member and can provide assistance and resolution to patient care problems related to Radiology procedures. Takes initiative for patient through put and provides educational opportunities for staff members. Substantiates appropriate competencies for staff members. Computer literate. Excellent customer service skills.
