Summary of Position
The Nursing Faculty is a full-time, 9-month/166-day position. The faculty member is responsible for teaching 15 credits each fall and spring semester. Courses may be taught using both traditional and non-traditional delivery methods, including face-to-face, online, computer-aided, distance learning, self-paced, and interdisciplinary. Faculty may need to teach at any RRCC campus and at a variety of times (days, evenings, and some weekends).
The faculty member develops and evaluates curricula, ensures alignment with community needs and regulatory requirements, documents curriculum changes based on assessments, implements retention strategies, and integrates technology into coursework. Additional responsibilities involve maintaining office hours, assisting with departmental duties, providing academic advising to students, participating in college events, serving on committees, and representing the college in the community. Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in nursing from a national nursing accredited institution, or if in progress, conferred prior to the start date.
- Two years of full-time, or equivalent, professional nursing clinical experience.
- Nursing practice expertise in any of the following areas: Medical/Surgical nursing or Mental Health nursing.
- An active, unencumbered license to practice as a registered nurse in Colorado or ability to obtain by the date of hire.
- Qualify for a Colorado Career and Technical Education (CTE) credential including 4,000 paid non-teaching occupational hours within the past five years.
- Experience teaching and/or training various subjects within the discipline.

Preferred Qualifications
- A minimum of 2 years teaching experience in an accredited nursing program or equivalent.
