General Description
This position is responsible for managing the Nursing Education Program at the Clarkston Campus. It serves as a liaison between Walla Walla Community College - Clarkston Campus and community stakeholders in the Lewiston-Clarkston valley, as well as the Walla Walla Community College -Walla Walla Campus. This position reports to the Dean and Assistant Dean of Nursing and Allied Health.
Essential Functions
Leadership:
- Strong leadership skills for positive team building and support of the Clarkston nursing faculty and staff.
- Participation in the development of program policies, nursing curriculum, outcomes assessment, and accreditation documentation.
Management:
- Oversee lead faculty duties for both first- and second-year nursing levels.
- Ensure that all student clinical placements and orientations are planned and completed.
- Oversee the compilation and maintenance of student and program records.
- Direct the implementation of nursing ATI testing and ExamSoft for the Clarkston campus.
- Prioritize and resolve day-to-day challenges within the department.
Supervisory:
- Provide supervision and support to full- and part-time nursing faculty; direct supervision of Classified Nursing Program Coordinator and hourly Nursing Lab Assistant.
- Recruitment, orientation, mentoring, and evaluation of part-time clinical adjunct faculty.
- Participate in hiring processes for full-time, tenure track nursing faculty.
Student Success:
- Academic advising/counseling to students, interviews with prospective students, advise on criminal background checks, ensure disability accommodations.
- Limited classroom teaching and/or advisor for Professional Nursing Clubs.
Student Outreach and Community Partnerships:
- Assist in planning and implementation of student recruitment, enrollment, and retention.
- Liaison to Clarkston campus community and healthcare agencies; represent the program in activities.
Budget Authority:
Supervises annual Nursing Skills Lab inventory and makes recommendations for purchases.

Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university.
- Three full-time equivalent years in clinical experience in nursing.
- Registered or eligible to be licensed as a Registered Nurse in Washington.
- Demonstrated leadership and management experience.
Conditions/Terms of Employment
Full-time, professional position in bargaining unit (AFT). E-Verify, background check, tobacco-free. Work schedule: M-F 8hrs, summer M-Th 10hrs.
Compensation
Annual salary range $87,883 - $99,431 with increments. Nursing Educator Stipend (26%): $110,732 - $125,283. One-time signing bonus $15,000. Excellent benefits.
