Occupational Therapy Assistant - Adjunct
This assignment is in the Health Science and Education Division. Responsibilities include teaching a variety of courses within the Occupational Therapy Assistant Program.
ABOUT THE COLLEGE:
Green River College's student body is made up of approximately 41% Academic Transfer students, 34% Professional-Technical students, 15% Adult Basic Education student, and 3% Applied Bachelor degrees. Green River College has four campuses, including the main campus in Auburn, Washington, with satellite campuses in Kent, downtown Auburn, and Enumclaw. Green River programs serve high school graduates, Running Start students (dual enrollment in local high schools and the college), those seeking retraining for the workforce, international students, students learning English, and Continuing Education students. RESPONSIBILITIES:
Teaching a variety of subjects in the OTA Program including:
- OTA Course topics at both the 100 and 200 level
- Specialty areas
- Adaptive equipment
- Therapeutic activities
- Documentation
- OT principles
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be a graduate of an accredited OT or OTA program - initially certified nationally and licensed or eligible for licensing in WA state.
- 2 years of practice in varied settings
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Member of AOTA
- Prior experience in academic or clinical instruction
- OTS practitioner with a bachelor's degree in related area.
