Ohio Eminent Scholar in Protein Engineering
Position Overview
The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at The Ohio State University invites applications for the position of Ohio Eminent Scholar in Protein Engineering, an endowed, tenure-track position at the Full Professor level. The Ohio Eminent Scholars (OES) Program, created by the Ohio General Assembly and administered by the Ohio Board of Regents, aims to enhance the national eminence of selected outstanding academic programs at Ohio universities by attracting internationally recognized scholars.
Applications are sought from those with a distinguished track record in synthetic and chemical biology, including research dedicated to advancing genetic code expansion for protein engineering applications.
Education and Experience Requirements
Required: PhD degree; established record of creativity and excellence in research; evidence of an independent research program; commitment to teaching/mentoring. Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to building a diverse intellectual community, in line with OSUs Shared Values
Desired: Strong track record as a mentor; experience with interdisciplinary research.
