Job Summary:

The position is located at the Anschutz Medical Campus. Hours will vary depending on clinical schedules, research, other duties, and Department/Hospital needs. Key Responsibilities:

The duties in this faculty position will include teaching, research, and service responsibilities. The overall determination of research and clinical activities and allocation of time and effort will be subject to the determination of the Section Chief.

Clinical Duties include responsibilities at the faculty-level for the out-patient services with supervision of residents and medical students, supervision of patient procedures, and teaching of the house-staff as well as students.

Teaching activities, including leading teaching conferences and training medical students, residents, and fellows.

Administrative responsibilities will include data entry into hospital systems, development of critical pathways, committee work and projects aimed at improving the specialty and department mission. It is assumed the bulk of this non-clinical time will be spent working toward the production of scholarship activities. Attendance at the meetings and educational events of the department and specialty programs is expected. Other duties may be assigned as need arises.

The duties and responsibilities assigned to you may also change, depending on the needs of the Department of Neurology as determined by the Chairman of Neurology.

Onsite – this role is expected to work onsite and is located in Aurora, CO.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

This is an open rank position and could be categorized as Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor based on experience and qualifications as indicated below:

Assistant Professor:

  • Applicants must be Board Certified or eligible to be board certified before start date
  • Completed fellowship training in Movement Disorders
  • A State of Colorado medical license and DEA license must be obtained on or before hire date

Associate Professor:

  • Applicants must be board certified or eligible to be board certified before start date
  • A state of Colorado medical license and DEA license must be obtained on or before hire date
  • Completed fellowship training in Movement Disorders
  • Applicants must have a scholarly and academic record consistent with appointment at the Associate Professor level in the School of Medicine

Professor:

  • Applicants must be board certified or eligible to be board certified before start date
  • A state of Colorado medical license and DEA license must be obtained on or before hire date
  • Completed fellowship training in a Neurological specialty
  • Applicants must have a scholarly and academic record consistent with appointment at the Professor level in the School of Medicine

Anticipated Pay Range:

The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE:

Assistant Professor: $180,000 to $211,000

Associate Professor: $199,000 to $242,000

Professor: $230,000 to $300,000

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt.
