Open Rank Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor of Clinical Practice
Job Summary
The Department of Neurosurgery currently seeks a medical neuro-oncologist at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor of Clinical Practice level to serve as a medical neuro-oncologist within our newly minted Brain Tumor Center. This is a full-time (1.0 FTE) faculty position which will include teaching, clinical, research, and service responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical duties
- Acute and chronic outpatient care of Neuro-Oncology patients including administration of chemotherapy and immunotherapy, disease-modifying therapy, and health maintenance care.
- Inpatient consultations for acute or chronic Neuro-Oncology patients in the University of Colorado Hospital with attendant documentation for these consults, which will include monitoring patients for adverse events related to therapeutics.
- Participation in clinical trials with expectation of completing and maintaining research trainings.
Educational activities
- Provide supervision and training for advanced practice providers, medical students, residents, and fellows in clinics and in the hospital setting.
- Support, share, attend and engage in continual learning and development among nursing staff, other faculty and advanced practice providers, pharmacy staff, medical students, and neurology residents and fellows; which will include presenting lectures to patients and others in regards to neurological conditions and treatments.
Administrative responsibilities
- Data entry into hospital systems, committee work, and projects aimed at improving the specialty and department mission.
- Ongoing CME is required.
Work Location
Onsite - this role is expected to work onsite and is located at one of our community practices in the southern or northern Front Range area.
