Open Rank – Assistant to Associate Professor
Job Summary
The Division of Medical Oncology is searching for an MD whose primary site of practice will be Highlands Ranch Medical Center (both inpatient and outpatient) with some cross coverage of Lone Tree Medical Center and possibly Cherry Creek Medical Center. There will be inpatient rounding 2-4 days per week at Highlands Ranch Hospital with assistance from an APP.
Key Responsibilities
- Clinical work seeing patients daily and covering the infusion center on a rotating basis during clinic days; Working with Oncology APPs (NPs or PAs) in clinic
- 1:6 call coverage for community practice patients and Highlands Ranch Hospital
- Work w/Service Line Director to expand the cancer practice
- Attend Multi-Departmental Clinics & CME conferences regularly; Attend oncology service line meetings; clinical trial meetings
- Assist with investigator-initiated, cooperative group/industry trials
- Lead and participate in clinical quality improvement projects including management of critical pathway & case management across the continuum of care
- Maintain accurate, legible, & confidential records using the UCH EPIC system
Work Location
Onsite – this role is expected to work onsite and is located in Highlands Ranch, CO.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: Licensed MD or DO from accredited Institution; Board certified in Oncology or Hematology. For Associate Professor: 4-8+ years' experience in Community setting in Medical Oncology.
Preferred Qualifications: 1 or more years' experience in Community setting in Medical Oncology and/or Hematology.
