Position Summary

The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine is seeking a Neuroradiologist to join the Division of Neuroradiology within the Department of Radiology. This position supports clinical care, education, and academic activities in a tertiary and quaternary care environment.
The Neuroradiology Division provides diagnostic imaging services for adult and pediatric patients and collaborates closely with Neurointerventional Radiology, Emergency Radiology, and Pediatric Radiology, as well as multidisciplinary teams in Neurology, Neurosurgery, Oncology, Radiation Oncology, and related specialties. UNC Medical Center is a Level I Trauma Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center.
Position Responsibilities
- Interpret diagnostic neuroradiology studies, including advanced CT and MRI of the brain, head, neck, and spine
- Supervise and teach neuroradiology fellows, diagnostic radiology residents, and medical students
- Perform basic fluoroscopic spine procedures
- Participate in multidisciplinary conferences and clinical consultations
- Participate in scholarly activities, research, or mentoring of trainees on academic projects, as appropriate
Appointment Details
This is an open rank, fixed term faculty appointment at the rank of Instructor, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
MD or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
- Board certified or board eligible Radiologist
- Fellowship training in Neuroradiology or equivalent clinical experience
- Demonstrated ability to interpret complex neuroradiologic imaging studies
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary clinical teams
- Interest or experience in resident and fellow education in an academic medical setting
