Essential Job Duties: The School of Public and International Affairs, Department of Political Science, is accepting applications for the position of Professional Faculty to teach courses in American Politics at the undergraduate level. Professional Faculty is responsible for coordinating, planning, preparing, presenting, and evaluating classroom instruction and related activities. The selected individual will be hired as a Teaching Assistant Professor or Lecturer, depending on qualification.

Other Work/Responsibilities: Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Experience/Education: Lecturer: Master's degree in related discipline, an equivalent degree, or equivalent professional experience is required. If teaching graduate level courses, a Doctor's Degree, an equivalent degree, or equivalent professional experience is required. Assistant Teaching Professor: Doctor's Degree in related discipline, an equivalent degree, or equivalent professional experience is required. Ability to direct activities and participate in departmental activities. Rank is dependent upon qualifications. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

Required Qualifications: Candidates should hold a strong commitment to excellence in teaching. Excellent communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications: Teaching experience in Political Science at the college level and demonstrated. Evidence of teaching excellence.
