Operations Officer

Full-time, Continuing position

Salary: HEW 5 + 17% Superannuation and Flexible Working Arrangements

Location: Based at the Melbourne CBD campus, and hybrid ways of working

The Operations Officer is responsible for providing high-level, confidential administrative support across operational services for the College of Business and Law staff, including facility management, maintenance, administrative support for emergency and first aid procedures, procurement, resource management, and project and catering support.

In collaboration with the Operations team, the officer establishes and maintains systems for resource services and facilities management, monitors task completion, and serves as the first point of contact for internal and external staff, delivering high-quality customer service. This is a customer-facing role requiring four days in the office.

  • Substantial experience in customer-focused administrative support in a university or similar complex organization.
  • Demonstrated organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, with ability to liaise effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Experience in providing quality customer service, including knowledge of relevant policies and procedures.
  • Ability to identify issues and propose improvements.
  • High-level computer literacy in word processing, presentation software, CRM, email, internet, and document management.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and prioritize tasks in a demanding environment.

Note: Appointment subject to passing Working with Children and National Police Check.
