OPS Assistant Coach, Women's Golf
Job Summary
The OPS Assistant Coach, Women's Golf will assist the Head Coach in
the administration of all aspects of the sport program including
coaching, recruiting, contest scheduling, supervising support
sports staff, budget management, student athlete mentoring, and
ensuring program compliance meets NCAA, conference, and University
rules and regulations.
Job Description
Typical duties include but are not limited to:
- Contribute to the recruitment and ongoing engagement of
student-athletes.
- Participate in practice sessions, providing instruction on
individual and group skills and techniques.
Assist in organizing travel logistics for team events.
Help with the inventory, distribution, and management of
athletic equipment and uniforms.
Support the development and execution of academic action plans
as needed.
Monitor and enforce discipline and conduct standards to enhance
the program's image and reputation.
Adhere to University, ASUN Conference, and NCAA regulations,
staying updated on changes and self-reporting potential
violations.
Other Duties:
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Additional Job Description
Required Qualifications:
- This position requires either four years of directly related
full-time experience or, as an alternative, a bachelor's degree
from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of
specialization.
- Current CPR/AED certification or ability to obtain within two
months of employment.
- Valid driver's license and the ability to travel throughout the
country
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience at the NCAA Division I level.
- Experience with effective leadership, communication, coaching,
and recruiting skills.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Proven ability to develop and implement effective training
programs and game strategies.
- In-depth understanding of golf fundamentals, techniques, and
strategies.
- Ability to assess and enhance players' skills.
- Present a professional image in word, action and attire.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the
ability to effectively convey instructions and feedback.
- Ability to foster a positive and supportive team environment
through clear and motivational communication. achieve goals.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the
ability to plan and execute practice sessions, game preparations,
and administrative tasks efficiently.
- Knowledge of NCAA or relevant governing body regulations and
adherence to ethical standards in coaching.
