About the Role
Opportunity Oxford is a major University initiative to increase the number of high-achieving students admitted to Oxford from backgrounds identified by the Collegiate University as priorities for widening access. This major initiative supports the University in achieving its strategic goal that students from all backgrounds or financial circumstances have the support they need to pursue their academic aspirations.
Through Opportunity Oxford, selected Oxford offer-holders participate in an academic programme which supports them in their transition from school or college to the university. This ambitious programme explores and develops high-level academic skills that support the success of participants in their further studies.
This will include; supporting the planning and delivery of student events and residentials, managing project mailboxes and acting as a point of contact for internal and external queries, providing financial and administration support, supporting the recruitment and training of student ambassadors, supporting committee meetings by booking rooms/online meetings and preparing papers, developing good relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, monitoring project schedules and budgets, and preparing progress reports for management and project partners. The post holder will also support the Be-UNIQ and Oxplore programmes.
This is a hybrid role (with potential for flexible working patterns) so would suit a candidate who values working closely with team colleagues but has the ability to work well independently.
